The first steps of making your own perfume

Making your own perfume has many ways better then buying perfume from a perfume counter. One reasons is that the price you had to paid for a bottle of perfume from a well known brand can be very expensive compare in making your own perfume. The other reasons is you can get the smell to your liking and besides how strong you want the perfume to stay in your skin.

The first steps of making your own perfume are to get things that you needs to make perfume. A pure bottle of vodka or brandy, Few bottles of different essentials oils, spring water, glass bottles, glass dropper and coffee filter.

Then learn the notes and it is break up of three kinds. The base notes where the scent stay very long in your skin and the smell is much stronger. Most people used sandalwood, cedarwoods, cinnamon and patchouli. The middle notes which the smell stays about an hour in your skin. Most recommand middle notes are nutmeg, geranium, lemongrass and ylang-ylang. The top notes and is the first scent when you first apply the perfume to the skin. Citrus and Flower scent such as rose, Lavender or jessmine are used.

Grind or ground the ingredient which you want to make your perfume. Add the amount of vodka or brandy to the mixture, the essential oils and the water into a bottle and stopper it. Shake the bottle well for several minutes and times and leave it in a dark place. Smell the perfume first and if the smell is to desire then pour it through the coffee filter to a perfume bottle.
